The Greater Cleveland Chapter of the American Red Cross offers a course that gives you the first aid skills in emergency situations until veterinary care is available. You can select either the Dog or Cat First Aid book at the class.
I travel, hike, camp and boat with my dog. I have taken this class and highly recommend it to you.
